1 John 1:9 KJV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,  and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  I have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God

Father, God of mercy and of love, we humble ourselves  and we pray unto You. We seek Your face, and we turn from our wicked  ways.  Forgive our sins Father, even as we forgive those that trespass against us.  We confess our sins to You now, and the sins of our nation.  If we say we have no sin, then Your truth is not in us.  We ask that You, according to Your word, forgive us as we cry.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
